As December starts we are thinking about Christmas and the winter holidays and what to give to those special gourmands in our lives. This week we will share some favorite gift ideas for Foodies with you in our Weekend Bites Holiday Gift Guide!
1. Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer
This serious Artisan Design Series 5-Quart Stand Mixer from Kitchenaid comes with a Glass Bowl and is available in many fun colors. We have a white mixer for whipping up Meringue, but the red does look nice for the holidays.
2. Cream of the Crop Royal Riviera® Pears
Decadent and juicy, these are Harry & David’s large premium pears. Slice them up into a salad or simply enjoy a bite. We usually had these juicy large pears around the holiday times and you can make recipes like a Wine Poached Pear with these golden globes.
3. Staub Cocotte and mini Cocottes
We love using our cast iron cookware to make beef stews, roasted chicken, and lots of other comforting dishes. This is definitely a gift for that serious cook in your household.
4. 12 Days of Christmas Plates
With the adorable illustrations based on the 12 Days of Christmas song, you can just take a look at your plates if your forget a verse. These cocktail plates could be used all year around too.
In case you were wondering what the lyrics to this song are:
On the first day of Christmas my true love sent to me: A Partridge in a Pear Tree….
On the twelfth day of Christmas my true love sent to me: Twelve drummers drumming, Eleven pipers piping, Ten lords a leaping, Nine ladies dancing, Eight maids a milking, Seven swans a swimming, Six geese a laying, Five golden rings, Four calling birds, Three French Hens, Two turtle doves, And a Partridge in a pear tree.
5. Venice Peony Teapot
For the tea lovers in your life, a handcrafted and painted Franz porcelain teapot from Wild Goose Tea will bring a little bright holiday cheer to your tea collection.
6. Marble Cheese Knives
One thing that we always love getting are cheese knives. You can never have enough. Pottery Barn has this simply elegant marble cheese knife set that could match almost any decor.
7. Polar-Glaze Bakeware
This bakeware from Anthropologie is so sweetly decorated you may just wish to collect it rather than use it in the kitchen. With a delicate winter pattern, the rolling pin and muffin tin are works of art.
8. Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker in Chrome
As the weather gets cooler who would not want a warm steaming cup of coffee with your cupcakes? The Nespresso Espresso maker from Williams Sonoma is ideal for a quick cup of espresso.
9. Holiday Blend & Two Mugs Gift
Just today at our local Peet’s Coffee and Tea in Santa Barbara (while we indulged in a Salted Caramel Mocha with whipped cream) we spied these cute limited edition holiday mugs and thought they would make great gifts. Also the coffee itself is quite good and in the mornings we like to enjoy a cup of Peet’s French Roast or the Fair Trade Blend.
10. Vintage Champagne Bucket
From the French Garden House a Vintage French H. Germain Champagne Bucket is perfect for those special holiday occasions when you wish to serve chilled champagne with a little history. The classic ring handles add a touch of elegance to the bucket.
What gifts will you be giving to your favorite foodie and what is on your list from Santa?
This is such a great holiday gift guide! I would love everything here – the mini cocottes and polar-glaze bakeware are totally calling my name 🙂
What great holiday gift ideas, ladies! Although I would love to receive any of them, I have to say that the red cast iron cookware is my favorite of them. It’s beautiful and something that I would use often!
Dear Santa, Please bring me a Nespresso Citiz Espresso Maker in Chrome and a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer in red. I have been very good this year. Thank you, Brenda
Great gift guide ladies! And, I love your choices. 🙂
This is a terrific roundup of holiday gifts. The real challenge lies in determining which ones to give, and those to keep! Happy holidays, Judit and Corina.
KitchenAid mixer please. That is always at the top of the list 😀
Great ideas!
Cheers
Choc Chip Uru
Some great ideas here, love that teapot.
Since I am a tea drinker, I would love to get the pretty red teapot with a new set of cups under the tree. I also need a new set of cheese knives and the marble ones would fit nicely so hopefully my husband will read this.
I would take them all! My favorite is the Polar-Glaze Bakeware from Anthropologie and the Staub Cocotte and mini Cocottes and the Vintage Champagne Bucket!
I’m loving all these foodie gifts! The 12 days of Christmas plates are really pretty.
There is not a clinker in the bunch. I would please to find anything under the tree
with my name on it.
