Riesling-Poached Pears

We like to use Bartlett, Anjou or Bosc pears for this juicy treat, but you can use any sweeter type of pear you like for these Riesling-Poached Pears.

Riesling-Poached Pears

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bottle Riesling
  • 5-6 Pears - peeled and sliced
  • 3 Tbsp Honey

Instructions
 

  • In a medium sauce pan over medium high heat bring the Riesling and pear slices to broil. Cover with a lid and simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes or until Pears become semi soft. Do not over cook.
  • You can top delicious dessert with whipping creme
  • Use a sweeter Riesling for this recipe
