Peju Province Winery – Napa.
When you arrive at Peju Winery in the Napa Valley you are greeted by a subtly pink fairytale tasting room in a French Provincial style that reaches 50 feet and is set in a lavish garden with cheerful fountains and tactfully placed sculptures. It was originally called the “Stephanie Vineyard” when Tony Peju purchased it in 1983 and renamed it the “HB Vineyard” in honor of his wife Herta with whom he runs the winery with today. It is a family venture along with daughters Lisa and Ariana who work to carry the family tradition into the future.Corina: I have been to Peju a couple times and could simply move into the tasting room since I find the building so fantastic as it transports me to a setting in one of my many fantasy novels of a time long ago. I hope you will enjoy the photos of Peju that I have taken on my trips there.
The hand-crafted wines of Peju are from grapes organically farmed from Rutherford Estate Vineyard and the sustainably farmed Persephone Vineyard. Some wine varietals of note are the HB Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Provence, which is a unique blend of red and white varietals.
Peju Winery hosts several wine and food events each year and has the perfect setting to bring a picnic.
Looks beautiful – sort of spanish and french at the same time
