This is one of our favorite rose from Santa Barbara County.
The 2010 Heritage Rosé is a classic Rhône-style blend of Grenache – Mourvèdre – Cinsault – and Syrah. And also really nice Provençal-style rosé, based on Grenache and Mourvèdre. It begins with luscious aromas of watermelon, orange rind, rose petal and summer hay. Rounded flavors of strawberry and cherry reveal accents of lime and spice. A stony mineral quality joins crisp acidity on a clean, dry finish.
The wine was aged in stainless steel, with lees contact for six months to build enhanced mouthfeel. The mouthwatering acidity makes this wine a perfect partner to many different dishes and even for an aperitif with various appetizers.
