Cheese & Wine Fondue Recipe with Bouchaine Pinot Meunier
Judit and Corina show you how to make a Gruyère Cheese and Wine Fondue to pair with a Bouchaine Pinot Meunier from the Napa Valley California. This is a very simple recipe and you can cook it on the stove top if you don’t have a Fondue pot. It is topped with Caramelized Onions and Crispy Bacon.
First we will try the wine, a Bouchaine Pinot Meunier from the Bacchus Collection and then pair it with our Gruyère Cheese and Wine Fondue recipe. Bouchaine Vineyards is the oldest continually operated winery in the Carneros region of Napa Valley.
The Bouchaine Pinot Meunier has aromas of rose petals, Pinot notes of cherry, licorice, a whole ballet on your tongue. It has nice legs. Has a kick on the front of the tongue, a bit of tannins.
We rate this wine a 4.7/4.8 out of 5 points. It is one of Judit’s favorites and she first tried Pinot Meunier on a visit to Reims France. Bouchaine makes about 250 cases of Pinot Meunier, which is a very limited production. We dedicate this unique wine to Gerret and Tatiana Copeland who are the proprietors of Bouchaine.
